Product description:
This is a lovely and practical bean support that will bring you much joy. It is suitable for medium-height beans, growing up to about 170 cm (runner beans). For taller climbing beans (scarlet runner beans, pole beans), there is the bean trellis and the bean frame – see below.
The advantage of this bean support lies first and foremost in the robinia wood from which its poles are made. It is by far the most durable and strongest native wood - see Properties of Robinia Wood. It lasts many years without chemical treatment. It is treated only with pure linseed oil, which further increases its longevity.
The bean support consists of robinia wood poles that are driven into the ground at a distance of 60 to 80 cm, and elastic hollow cord, which is threaded horizontally through the poles at 10 heights, each spaced 16 cm apart. The poles have holes for the hollow cord spaced 8 cm apart. You pull the top cord through the top hole.
The specified trellis height and trellis width are approximate values. The trellis height depends on how deep you drive the poles into the ground, and the trellis width depends on the distance you choose between the poles. Here is our calculation for that (measurements in cm):

The poles can be easily driven in with their tips, and the tips retain their shape because robinia wood is so hard.
The length of the included hollow cord – color green, Ø 3 mm – is at least three times the length of the poles, multiplied by the number of poles included in the delivery; this is ample.
You can tie the bean shoots to both the poles and the hollow cord.
The bean support harmonizes exceptionally well. Wood simply goes best with plants. And, the slim octagonal profile of the poles has style.
